About Simone
Simone van der Kallen is a Leadership and Transition Coach known for identifying the moments, patterns, and pressure points where insight creates the greatest shift, in people, teams, and organisations.
She works with capable, values-led leaders and professionals at moments of transition, when familiar ways of thinking, leading, or living no longer fit. This may show up as repeated patterns, growing internal friction, or a sense that what once worked is no longer sufficient.
Simone’s work helps people slow down enough to see what is actually happening, so they can make deliberate, conscious choices about how they lead, relate, and live, not by fixing what’s wrong, but by recognising what is ready to change.
“Organisational transformation begins with the personal transformation of leaders. Organisations do not transform; people do!”
Experience & Perspective
Simone brings over two decades of experience across leadership development, organisational consulting, facilitation, and psychotherapy-informed practice. Over more than 15 years, she has supported leaders across Australia and New Zealand, with much of her work developing through referral and long-term engagement.
She has worked with senior leaders, founders, professionals, and purpose-driven organisations, supporting clearer decision-making, sustainable leadership, wellbeing, and cultural change.
Alongside her professional training, Simone draws on lived experience, building and later selling a business, navigating burnout and reinvention, and consciously redesigning how work and life are structured. This gives her work depth, credibility, and practical relevance.
She is often described as empathic, perceptive, and deeply present, able to hold complexity while helping people see what matters most, and where change will have the greatest impact.
How Simone works
Simone creates insight-led coaching pathways and shared thinking spaces that help people:
see patterns and blind spots with care, not judgement
understand how they show up under pressure and the impact this has on others
take responsibility for their choices without shame or force
move from over-functioning and carrying too much, to leading and living with clarity, steadiness, and integrity
Her approach blends evidence-based frameworks with deep listening, psychological safety, and practical integration. Sessions are structured, calm, and respectful, offering space to think clearly without performance, correction, or pressure to disclose more than feels right.
This work is grounded in the belief that when people see themselves and their context clearly, they make different choices, and those choices shape how life is lived.
What guides the work
Simone’s work is anchored in three principles:
Insight – seeing the patterns, assumptions, and pressures that are shaping behaviour, often unnoticed
Impact – taking responsibility for the choices made once those patterns are visible
Ripple – translating insight into how life is actually lived
Whether through one-to-one coaching, group programs such as Common Ground, or longer-term pathways, the intention is the same:
to support people who sense they are at a turning point, and to help them move forward with clarity, grounded confidence, and conscious direction, in leadership, relationships, and life.
